OpenAI says Chinese propaganda is being deployed to foment dissent over tariffs

Of course OpenAI will ignore or downplay the real grassroots dissent. Data centers are approximately as desirable to live near to as landfills.

Why would China need to foment dissent over tariffs? Everyone should already be infuriated by adding an unasked for and unnecessary tax on already expensive “everything”.
