I'm surprised the article didn't address the complexities of test-optional admissions, which some schools still offer, and the proxies universities are using to keep URM admissions up in light of the SFFA decision. The essay alone is a quagmire — how much do you complain about your lack of privilege, or scrape and bow in apology for the privilege that you do not deserve?
