This sure brings back memories.

In my tween/early teen years, I used to phone my mother long distance from a payphone. I'd tell her not to use any names, and she'd get all giggly and say something like "Oh you, hacking again!"

Usually parents would dissuade their kids from doing such things, but it was really the only way she'd get to hear me by voice since she lived a few thousand kms (more than a couple thousand miles) away.
