The question I always ask is: What are we going to do to planet Earth that is so bad that moving to Mars and terraforming it, etc, is better than fixing and maintaining what we have.

Are the tech giants planning on making Earth less hospitable than Mars?

Also, why do we ignore under water? It would likely be a lot easier than relocating with our current technology. And lest we forget, the global calamity Musk keeps on about won't happen for a few million years from now.

If we still exist, we'll have much better technology to accomplish these currently insane pipe dreams.

Mars has poison dirt. Cosmic and solar radiation insufficient water. Earth after a nuclear war would still be more hospitable than mars.
