Bipartisan bill seeks to ban sports betting on Kalshi and Polymarket

this feels like the sports betting lobby flexing. Kalshi won the CFTC case and now congress wants to legislate around it. traditional sportsbooks take a 5-10% vig while prediction markets run as actual exchanges with real price discovery. banning sports contracts on Kalshi would just push that volume to offshore unregulated venues which is worse for everyone.
