I click on this because of Gabriel Knight 3, and sure enough, there is in the first paragraph.
I am among those who love GK3, but I wouldn't say it's my favorite in the series. It does have a great ambience, and really makes you feel like a tourist in rural France.
Same here. My brain lit up with nostalgia when I saw Rennes-Le-Château mentioned.
Also of Xenosaga, and for the same reasons. Although, that's perhaps a more obscure reference (and is a PS2, rather than PC game series.)
Man I wish the Xenosaga games would get a rerelease for a modern console.
