FTC order directing Intuit to stop deceptive TurboTax ads thrown out by US court

    Fifth Circuit Judge wrote that the FTC must pursue deceptive advertising
    claims in federal  courts, where the  agency may face a higher burden 
    of proof.

    ...cited a 2024 U.S. Supreme Court decision curbing the Securities
    and Exchange Commission's  use of in-house judges to enforce laws.

SCotUS had reviewed FTC's consumer protecting powers and unsurprisingly, ruled them out of existence. This allowed the 5th circuit to intervene and safeguard Intuit's profitable, deceptive practices.
