A new fiber giant takes shape as GFiber and Astound combine

Well, it remains to be seen whether they run the new co any better than Astound did in my small TX town. So many outages I had to switch to Spectrum, whom Spectrum has literally THOUSANDS of complaints at the BBB. In our small town Astound is using outdated equipment, a 2nd level Astound tech told me when a module goes out in the field, there are no spares at the shop, they have to ship it back to some factory whom plunges them for "pirate rates" to repair it (legacy equip.)

When Spectrum offered $40 a month for 1 gig, no contract, guaranteed for 2 years, I jumped on it, and I told the Astound people that Spectrum offer would put them out of business. So they chose to sell out and G fiber bought them.

But I would bet that that legacy equip. still never get's updated, and the multiple outages continue.
