Highly speculative with no concrete information.

You could see this one coming from way down the track, you knew that MS accounts would be mandatory for Windows users and then the subscription fees would start. If not Win12 then soon.

That plus OS level age verification is gonna create a whole lot of new Linux users.

Don't call it Windows then.
