Why? It's AI. They're using AI tools to fake engagement.
So how much of twitter is not just bots (old-school style) but 'managed bots' where a human oversees replies? It's all still fake, false, fluff.
There's some bots in HN as well, especially when you see weird posts upvoted on the main page.
Polluting the internet with AI slop is like dumping your used oil into the creek out back.
