I completely agreed with the article up to this point:

    Frameworks were about the developer.

Frameworks were ultimately not about the developer. They were, and have always been, primarily about the employer and hiring.

I would say never say never in this world, maybe someone will come up with a new framework that merges best features of others, then it will replace the older ones.
