Authentically Authoring in the Age of AI Slop

To provide a bit more context on this: I’m the technical half of the team behind the Native of Nowhere trilogy.

We’re documenting our process of building a 'Lore Auditor' system—essentially a private vector database of our world-building notes. We use it to 'stress-test' the plot for continuity across 300,000 words. For example, if we establish a rule about Lucarn shapeshifting in Book 1, the auditor flags any physical contradictions we accidentally write into Book 3.

We’ve found that by 'air-gapping' the AI from the actual prose, we can maintain an artisan level of authenticity that resonates with readers who are currently boycotting generative content.
