theatlantic.comGeoengineering scares me. We fundamentally cannot know the full impact of doing geoengineering, it has to be a real-life experiment. We've already screwed the climate, I don't know if risking making it worse is a good idea.
We have plenty of examples where we've tried to improve things (e.g. for invasive species) and actually made it worse.
On the other hand, we know exactly what is screwing the climate.
