Manim Has Been Hacked
manim.communityWhy are there so many websites that are hijacked by online gambling sites to launch their spam so that they can be indexed in Google searches, is there any way to secure against this?
The page looks normal to me at the moment. What did I miss?
Just thought I should make HN aware of this - it seems the original discord is gone, as well as the community repo.
what is/was Manim...?
Manim is a python library created by Grant Sanderson to create really great math animations - if you've seen his YouTube channel 3Blue1Brown, he built Manim specifically with that in mind. There's two versions, the version on his github specifically for his videos, and a community version that is more maintained. The community version is the one that got hacked.
