I keep thinking of Caesar crossing the Rubicon.

Congress has no power, the courts leave it to congress (lol). Every agency has been purged of anyone willing to put up resistance. Checks and balances and the Constitution are essentially meaningless.

To be fair, this is not necessarily new for America. People forget that much of the 1800s was ruled by the spoils system and imperialist, nationalistic presidents. The difference is none of them ruled over the largest standing military in the world or the linchpins of the global economy.

I think the same, but the Rubicon was Jan 6 2021. That was when he showed his true colors. What we see now are just the consequences

US–Denmark Treaty of the Danish West Indies:

> During 1916, the two sides agreed to a sale price of $25,000,000, and the United States accepted a Danish demand for a declaration stating that they would "not object to the Danish Government extending their political and economic interests to the whole of Greenland".

Congress needs to step in and stop this insanity!

The last state of the union, everyone in Congress laughed when he suggested it.

They keep pushing this to shift the Overton window, an the shocking thing is that right leaning Americans just keep brushing stuff like this off. America will gain nothing, but NATO would be split apart. Exactly what Putin wanted.

Greenland the new Czechoslovakia?

One thing that could possibly stop Trump is if it is not a cake-walk to take Greenland and there are American casualties.

At least in the first Trump term there were sane people in administration to stop Trump. Now it's all yes-men.

Its worse. Its all project 2025 people using Trump, it wont end with him.

    • tstrimple 22 days ago

It's worse. The problem is conservatives willing to vote for this shit. It won't end with Project 2025. Each election conservative politicians try to demonstrate that they are even more stupid and cruel than their predecessors and conservative voters seem to love it.

That is it? Everybody will watch this madness and do nothing to stop Trump?
