The Fence About a Spending Decision? Try the 0.01% Rule
wsj.comThis headline is an awful application of the HN algorithm.
The original headline reads On The Fence, which, of course, is a meaningful phrase (though wordy and trite, wsj).
Eliminating the first word On is a dumb mistake.
Might I suggest we allow a little editorial discretion here, and change the headline to read "Debating a Spending Decision? Try the 0.01% Rule" or some such.
I find you can just stick the missing word back in and it says OK.
