Sadly it looks like there is no support kept for MS-DOS, which means this can not run on my favorite (most stable, future-safe, and portable) virtual machine, DOSBox (or any of the many other ways of running DOS software)?

> QB64 is a modern extended BASIC+OpenGL language that retains QB4.5/QBasic compatibility and compiles native binaries for Windows (7 and up), Linux and macOS (Catalina and up).

Note this comment:

thank you for this. sorry about my impatience earlier.

i would like to contribute a library. but i don't have an idea at the moment. i would have to give away my real name. which is dangerous for me. because i don't use a vpn or any other internet security scheme. to defend my privacy. but this is just my mind. merry xmas, happy hollidays and better season's experiences next year.

... The stuff open source maintainers have to deal with.

Open source maintainers just ignore this kind of stuff until they actually have something to contribute.

The biggest issue are AI generated PR slop that takes time to process. Not this kind of "I'd like to make a PR in the future" kind of thing.

But can it still run gorilla?

Very nice. It produces pretty small binaries - by today's standards.
