Is the Semicolon an Endangered Symbol?

I love semicolons and have returned to increased frequency of use with AI's love of em-dashes (another secret love I have slowly had to give up.)

Semicolons, like other punctuation, lead to beautiful sentence composition: that of prosody, rhythm, and classical structure; for what is communication without both clarity and style?

I see (and use) them on a regular basis.
