Ask HN: Can I get around an assumed shadowban from Stripe?
I got my credit card stolen and replaced the card but now when I buy things my with stripe processed sites I can't buy - it processes then immediately declines it afterward (it doesn't say fraud but its exactly whats happening). It kind of operates as a shadow ban. I assume they think its continued fraud, but it isn't and it's on a new issued card. Can you remove the ban or find another way around it or how long am i stuck in this limbo? Seems directionally orwellian that with a new issued card from my bank is flagged as fraud by stripe. Who gave them that power?
