That would make sense, because RNA is one of the simplest molecules that can store genetic information.

But this is pretty interesting stuff. If the precursors for RNA can form out in space on a remote rock, they can probably form on other bodies, including in other solar systems. More evidence for extraterrestrial life is always cool.
