Why Use React?

I agree, inertia (and comfort) is a big reason React continues to be used. I use React for personal projects too, partly because it’s what I use at work. When I first started as a developer, I tried to use the same stack for side projects to build my skills. Over time it’s become more of a “comfort stack” — and I’ve built a lot of reusable components around it.

React is useful for complex state and UI, but many projects don’t need it. Nice to see more people questioning when it actually makes sense.

It’s running on its past success and ecosystem. Some people don’t want to learn something new and are fine with it.

Corporations will be slow to change, if you want it to change, you have to push other option in smaller companies and projects.

Drupal is still living on its fame from 2005-2009, when there are better options.
