Ask HN: Is a new EU self-trucking startup a bad idea in 2025?
There seems to be a consensus that the self-driving game is now over — in a way or another. But EU has a single startup in the field (Wayve) and nobody’s doing long-haul self-trucking in EU. Would it be such a terrible idea to start a company now?
There are reasons to believe that it will be solved over the next two decades given AI progress. The business case seems incredibly obvious. And if one job can be socially acceptable to automate, that one likely is.
