Trump admin axed 383 active clinical trials, dumping over 74K participants

I've been haunted by this all morning.

Above all this is such massive massive waste of life, of money, of effort.

And to what end? What was the supposed benefit here? Just a bunch of people that know nothing about anything, claiming they want to "save money" by blowing things up.

This is what happens when you put extremely ignorant people in charge of cutting spending. This is the absolute worst sort of Pointy Haired Boss behavior from Dilbert. Absolute ignorance and idiocy driving decisions, with no chance for knowledgable and skilled people to give any input or objection.

We need to have hearings on this sort of thing, both to hold the perpetrators to account, but also to set up some new fences to prevent this sort of thing in the future.
