Isn't this Elizabeth Warren and the Cherokee all over again? Jewishness isn't an identity based on genetic tests. The results might show that it's relatively likely or unlikely that some of his ancestors were Jewish, but they can't give any definitive answer on that point.

I've been running about the place defending the BBC in other comments, but maybe they could manage not to uncritically accept racial essentialism in an article about Hitler.
