Show HN: NickelJoke – Pay a Nickel to Get a Joke Using X402 Micropayments
github.comSince everyone’s talking about x402 now, I figured I’d open-source my NickelJoke project.
It’s built on top of the Coinbase + Next.js x402 Starter and lets you pay a nickel for a joke.
It’s a simple app, but it’s a fun way to explore the protocol and experiment with building and monetizing microservices on top of it. What kind of costs does a tool like this have? I think I'm seeing zero fees from Coinbase? Currently 0 fees since they are promoting it but probably will add something (relatively) minimal later on. x402 as a standard will never have a fee. I meant for the facilitator
