Sora 2 Can Generate Videos of Celebs Appearing to Shout Racist Slurs
rollingstone.comHaving been on Sora for a couple weeks now, it's funny how strict the content filters are, but of course there is a ton of juvenile "offensive content" which is clearly being made by garden variety trolls just to try to push people's buttons.
The 2 categories are: (1) uncreative Jewish stereotypes:
e.g. original video was "Kitchen is flooded with 3' of macaroni" Remix to "Make the macaroni gold coins and change the person to a rabbi and he's very excited about the gold"
and (2) some variation of "neck hurts" etc. 300 Jake Pauls are <doing whatever> screaming "Neck hurts" very fast over and over.
Meanwhile about half the videos anyone attempts are blocked by content violations for "similarity to third party content" or vaguer explanations.
"AI Safety" is failing in its main (useless) function which has so far been to ensure nobody is ever offended by pixels or words on a screen.
Note: headline is sensationalist clickbait, the only "Celebs" sora can generate are the handful who have granted the public the permission to cameo them. Basically it's Jake Paul, iJustine, Mark Cuban, Sam Altman. Those are the only "celebs" by any stretch of the imagination who have enabled this.
Honestly I think it's pretty cool that they have all done that. They are the only ones apparently brave enough to feel that making a fake video of them doing something stupid can actually harm them. Personally I think if you make a video of me doing something stupid, that reflects on your own character and says nothing about me, whether you used After Effects or Sora.
