Ask HN: What's going on with archive.ph and the NY? Times?
The last three days archive.ph has stopped showing stories from the NYT. It still works for paywall sites like the Washington Post and the Economist.
Does anyone know what is going on? And is there an alternative? They probably blocked archive.is. It's fairly easy to block. You may be right, but if you are, it should be big news on the internet, but I can't find any mention of it it. You know, I am thinking it would be nice if archive.ph had a list of all the sites that block it. Recently I have been getting an NGinx default installation page for archive.is pages so it could be they are re-installing things no idea why. Their admin is on HN so maybe they will take a look or may already be looking. Ok, that's interesting information.
