RSS – Is It Needed

I have been jumping between coding, browse some news, look at something claude code finished, etc.
I'm more focused on the work than the outside world. I just had a moment tonight wishing RSS was still a wide spread viable thing. (I have netnewswire on my phone).
Are there options summarizing (topic of choice) information overload?
