Argentina joins OpenAI's Stargate project with a 500MW data center

Apparently Stargate's backers are connected to Thiel. Kargieman founded Satellogic and Sur Energy, which is involved in the Stargate deal.

So that data center probably will be used to analyze U.S. citizen's data outside the U.S., in the best tradition of many such ventures (five eyes spying on U.S. citizens to circumvent U.S. laws).

“This milestone goes beyond infrastructure. It's about putting artificial intelligence in the hands of people across Argentina,” said Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, in a press release.
