Another for the long list of environmental issues that suddenly become salient when someone can tie them (possibly spuriously) to alternatives to fossil fuels.

But I'm not sure that "Support fossil fuels because they're too expensive for farmers to use to pump water for their crops" is really a successful marketing message.
