Show HN: Mbzlists – Create and share universal playlists along with stories
mbzlists.comI like having human context around song playlists, but I couldn't find a seamless way to maintain that alongside playlists on major listening platforms. So I made mbzlists where you can create playlist blogs with songs, rich text, and images all together.
The system is built around an extension to the XSPF format (https://xspf.org/) and uses MusicBrainz for universal track identification. These lists (and individual songs) can be shared and played on any platform (currently supports Spotify, YouTube, and Subsonic-compatible players). You can also self-host the app, download the playlists to work with them locally, or generate and host a static page like this https://docs.mbzlists.com/format/output
