UN has discredited itself - in that several ( 9? ) of their workers ( UNRWA ) involved in Oct 7th killing of innocent civilians, and at least one UNRWA staffer, held hostage(s) in their apartment!

Those things where claimed by Israel but are not proven. The UN internal watchdog advised UNRWA to fire 9 people out of 19 because there was some doubt and whilst it was inconclusive, they couldn't be fully exonerated. 10 other claims where found to be not true.

The claim on holding hostages is highly doubtful and Israels own accounts where contradictory and looked to be dressed up propaganda.

I wish it would demand a cessation of the killing of innocents. I wish it could actually do something to stop the Horror that is being inflicted on Gaza rn. This has been going on far too long.

I think the only thing Hamas succeeded in doing is to expose Israel's evil acts to the world for a little while, until the west says "..., anyway" and goes back to being best buddies with Israel, singing and chanting how righteous they are.

So far the only thing that's close to a sanction from the EU is Norway divesting from some Israeli companies[0] and the EU _proposing_ (!) to suspend Israel from a research program[1].

    That will show 'em!

Should mention Hamas evil acts to for balanced coverage.

Hamas are the ones that willingly sacrificed the population of Gaza in their salafist quest to destroy Israel. Debate the war, say the war is horrible, but Hamas started this particular war. Civilian casualties are the entire point of their strategy.
