apps.apple.comI love Tailscale, but I needed to connect to multiple VPN endpoints simultaneously, so I built MintFlow NetStack to solve this issue. However, I still wanted to use Tailscale for easily connecting to my infrastructure servers and homelabs, which created some challenges:
iOS doesn't allow running multiple VPN applications at once Integrating Tailscale into MintFlow NetStack wasn't feasible because the Go runtime consumes too much memory
So I built NovaAccess to solve this pain point for myself and others facing the same issue. It leverages Tailscale's open-source code and integrates a native SwiftUI SSH terminal into the app. Users can connect to their Tailscale network (tailnet) without running the official Tailscale app – it even works alongside other running VPN applications. I started considering this idea 10 months ago and decided to build it a month ago. Development went surprisingly well and Apple approved it quickly. AI helped tremendously with the UI work – I never imagined I could complete this app in just one month.
