This reminds of tactics by the Japanese mafia. The Yakuza managed to get porn outlawed even showing genitals so they would have a monopoly on it. I don't know if that is still the case but it sounds like someone in the AI world liked the idea.

I see this behavior on Youtube as well. People are not supposed to upload porn but Youtube shorts are almost nothing but cleavage, butts, camel toe and I do not log in to Youtube nor have I ever searched for that on Youtube. There are a myriad of places to get unlimited porn without even using a browser.

Why can "billionaires" sell me AI nudes, but Steam and Itch can't sell adult games? Don't they use the same payment processors?

You can make your own AI nudes for free on your half decent computer btw.

I mean, even PornHub (owned by MindGeek, practically a porn conglomerate) had to bend to the whim of payment processors. I’d argue we have a bigger problem than porn and porn access - we have a duopoly that can exercise financial control over billions of people.

the truth to the article and also hinted at is that they’re squashing the competition with lobbying and bulking on the single platform/subscription meta; the title should be

“sex is getting scrubbed from the internet so billionaire tech bros can sell you ai nudes”
