This is awesome advice and it works whether you’re a tech lead or coach of your kid’s soccer team.

Value contributions and people’s time. Make it easy to contribute. Be welcoming and inclusive. Don’t be upset when people leave. Give responsibility. Trust others to do good work. Think long term: even though you could do this simple thing faster, build their skills because it will pay dividends. Celebrate wins.
