I think what's pretty galling about this is both how incredibly minor that "damage" is, and the insane junk fees tacked atop. $250 for what could be a smudge that's easily wiped off, but never would have been charged for anyway, and $190 in junk fees.

Take out zero excess insurance. Ie, pay up front.
