Thread regarding Microsoft Corp. layoffs

Layoffs are incredibly difficult for those directly impacted and can also have a negative cultural effect on remaining employees. That said, I do think Microsoft’s compensation package of 12 weeks of pay + 2 additional weeks for each year of service is generous.

Hopefully these impacted folks can find something new in a few months.
