U.S. inks bill to force geo-tracking tech for high-end gaming and AI GPUs

So individual GPS units on GPU boards shipped in steel containers, deployed in EMI-shielded datacenters, installed in steel racks, inside a steel chassis? Senator Tom Cotton of Arkansas aims to change the laws of physics.

How would this even work? Embedding gps modules in gpus? Is this as insane as it sounds?

Wouldn't it be easy to spoof the location? Don't see this really doing anything except adding more costs to gpus.
