Stripe's payment API: The first 10 years (2020)

Their new API update (basil) makes me want to leave Stripe and not come back. Current Stripe API is something that is designed to get in your way as much as possible.

Yeah, I do understand the complexity, but I am paying Stripe to wrap that complexity for me, not expose more and more of it.

Interesting write up. It should be part of their documentation, it's helpful to have historical contextual info like this.
