Apple's AI isn't a letdown. AI is the letdown

AI is the letdown? Maybe for the average person who imagines that it’s something other than what it is, because of the name. Despite companies trying to force it into places where it’s clearly not ready, AI is not the letdown - the companies trying to force it are (looking at you Apple).

For better or worse, when used properly AI can be leveraged for productivity improvements for many, if not most, white collar jobs. Agentic AI, which is what the average person probably wants, it still in its infancy, but that’s not because AI is a letdown, it’s because it takes time to iterate on new paradigms before they’re ready for broad adoption.
