bsky.appI read that the purpose of this strange twisting is to justify use of military force against Mexico, but also against Canada, on the basis of completely and utterly groundless accusations made by Donald's men that Canada is a major source of fentanyl.
There's been a coup, the courts are I'm afraid about to get flattened, and we are seeing now the progression of the consequences of the coup; more or less complete power in one pair of hands, random fabricated justifications to go and do whatever it is Donald wants to do.
Germany ran a false-flag operation back in 1939 when it invaded Poland. Donald will find some "reason" to wave around.
What about all the articles on HN today suggesting the Democrats reflect on why Kamala lost? Bottom line: because people were unwilling to believe that Trump was a clear and present danger to their ongoing security.
Despite numerous warnings and evidence of Trump's actions, many remain unconvinced of the threat he poses. Trump continues to act in ways that undermine security, yet the public remains in denial. It's like frogs in a jacuzzi, unaware that the water is slowly heating up.
The factor I think about most is the influence of long-term hostile power social media campaigns, and the abuse of Twitter by Elon to favour Donald.

Here we see Twitter hiding pro-UA post for 12 hours, until it's spammed by hate bots, and then making it visible.
I've seen similar but mirrored for hideous material posted by MAGA - spammed by love bots.
I would think tweets to organize protest and being suppressed.
