Bribes. Again.

I miss the days when most politics disagreement were over things like whether it was better to have more taxes/services versus fewer... As opposed to today, where it seems to be "government shouldn't commit evil crimes" versus "but I really wanna crime and you can't stop me".

Grift grift grift.

Its not subtle at all. One of the first executive orders was announcing non-enforcement of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/02/paus...

Then this week the Treasury has basically given international criminals & ultra-wealthy tax cheats the pass of their life, by again simply not enforcing the Corporate Transparency Act. https://home.treasury.gov/news/press-releases/sb0038

Its a travesty to see such trampling of basic governmental health, such willingness to let officials wet their beak / grift, and to let wealthy & criminal elements go unmonitored.

> It’s unclear where the money is going and what it will be used for, but one source with direct knowledge of the dinners said “it’s all going to the library,” as in the presidential library that will ostensibly be built once Trump leaves office.

Right.

I hope there is a reckoning. How hard is it to prosecute Trump when the Supreme Court ruled that he can't be prosecuted for crimes committed during his presidency?

Who are they paying? Mar-a-lago? Trump directly? Some fixer?

(sorry - tfa is paywalled)
