I built RemoraBuddy to make it easier to stay engaged on Hacker News without constantly refreshing the site. It helps you track mentions, follow users, and monitor replies to your comments—all from a lightweight macOS menubar app.

What it does:

* Mentions & Replies: Get notified when someone mentions you or replies to your comments.

* Follow Users: Keep tabs on specific users and their posts.

* Granular Notifications: Set up alerts based on specific keywords or accounts.

* Menubar Customization: Show or hide the menubar icon as you like.

The app is free to use for up to 3 keywords/accounts, with a modest one-time unlock fee for unlimited usage.

I’m planning to add a feature that highlights the most upvoted comments, creating a front page for top discussions instead of just stories.
