Obesity rates are down. Is that because of weight-loss drugs?

When I started using glp 1 I went from obese to not obese very quickly. There are bad side effects for some but I’d expect many people to benefit. Saxenda that is mentioned in this article and comes off patent has the same active ingredient as victoza which is now off patent. I’m sure some doctors are writing off labels rxs for Victoza

Of course it is because of weight-loss drugs. And because the richest people are getting on them first, the society-wide effect (on economy etc.) will be way beyond the small drop in obesity rate - because people who matter the most will shed the weight first...
