Crypto miners must register with state, reveal power usage under new Texas rule

I posted this because I thought it was interesting.

I go back and forth on crypto currency. I like the fact that it's an alternative currency. I hate the fact that it's such a resource (electricity) hog. I like the fact that the government gets upset about it. In the end, though, I don't invest in it because it seems more like gambling on brownian motion rather than strategic control. Maybe I'm wrong.
