Open-Source Sensorimotor Learning Framework to Power a Different Approach to AI

What exactly does this framework do? I see "run an experiment" in the Getting Started docs, and "Running Your First Experiment" in the tutorials, but I'm not grokking what an "experiment" means in this context.

You can have a meaningful chat conversation with an LLM. You can create realistic and artistic images with a text-to-image model. What's the "you can _______" with Monty?

I have read the Thousand Brains book. I understand what reference frames are and what a sensorimotor system potentially does. I don't know where this GitHub project fits into that world.
