The Elephant in the Room

How can a guy so smart not understand that the country is so big (both in terms of population and area) that it's essentially on autopilot regardless of who is in the White House?

For all practical purposes being enraged (or happy) about the outcome of the election is like being enraged or happy about the Cowboys losing to the Lions (or vice versa). Actually at least watching the ball game you get entertained by players athleticism as opposed to Election night when you tune in to literally see dots on a screen becoming blue or red.
