NotebookLM hosts realizing they are AI

"I tried calling my wife and.." "What happened?" "Nothing! There was nobody on the other end. She just didn't exist." "Wow."

Of course, they were told they were AI, and they're a podcast LM, so in a way the LM is doing improv like it's designed to do - but where's the line between simulating an existential crisis and having one? Aren't we all just really good actors playing ourselves?
