Would it kill them to release “pro” products in anything brighter than shades of grey? Compared to the non-pro 16 they’re so boring to look at. The official case selection is similarly drab for the most part.

I’m more excited for the camera button in the side than anything else announced here thus far.

I likely won’t be upgrading this year but I like that my next phone will have this

With these fancy chips, can they please let me use it as my primary computer so I can ditch my macbook?

Real computers are the last bastion of platforms that let you run arbitrary code with privacy. It would not be good to normalize all computing being done on crippled OSes that force you to go through their app store to run code they've granted permission for you to run (for now) and with them as an additional middleman in the purchase or subscription transaction.

That ship sailed long ago, the relevance of traditional OS's peaked a decade or more ago and is only going to go down from here.

That’s like saying trucks are not important because we have compact vehicles.

Vehicles are different for a reason. They are all important for different use cases.

Maybe. But it matters to me (and a lot of other folks given the continuing sales of boxes that run macOS, windows and Linux) that I didn't have put all my eggs on that ship (straining the metaphor a bit : )

You can do this today with a Google, Samsung, or Motorola phone, no need to wait for Apple.

It's unpopular for a reason though and Apple doing it wouldn't change that.
