We should do the same for unoccupied houses/condos (e.g. second homes): hang a notice on the door, a week later have city workers haul any belongings inside to the dump, wash it out, and give it to some new person to live there.

    Robin Hood: "HALT!"

*"*I am Robin Hood, I take from the rich to give to the poor, now give me all your money!"

Peasant: "I have nothing, I've been hungry for years you see"

Robin Hood: "Very well then poor man, take this!"

Robin Hood gives the poor man a sack, filled to the brim with gold coins. He then fades away into the forest.

The peasant stares in disbelief, exclaiming: "I can't believe it, I'm Rich!"

    Robin Hood <raises eyebrow>: "You're what now?"

The talking point has been that if we do this in cases where there isn’t shelter to offer, the people will come back. Let’s see how that plays out, will be informative.

I think it’s also quite possible for some people it’s a needed wake up call
